Cathedral Grove
The First time I visited cathedral grove was over 20 years ago, and we stumbled on it accidentally. It was a secret forest with these giant trees both standing and fallen, we had pulled over and spent the afternoon hiking and crossing streams on large trunk bridges. Last spring when we returned, it was equally magical, but the secret had been discovered.
There was now welcome signs, boardwalks, restrooms and “please stay on the path”. The development of the area is better sweet, I know it will be protected for the future. and those updates didn’t stop my children from experience the magic. But I will always be grateful for the time of enchantment back in my early 20’s.
