On the south end of Mackenzie beach is a cove that is only accessible when tide is out.
At one point Ben and Dexter crossed on to this island to do some exploring while the rest of us laughed at the tide came. By the time they crossed over most of the rocks had been covered and they were very grateful for their waterproof hiking boots.
